As of 12 July 2010, the discussion group has been moved to Proboards. Over the coming weeks we will be copying over all the reviews and much of the other material from the old LiveJournal group with a view to eventually closing it.
We've decided to do this because LiveJournal, though wonderful for general blogging, isn't the best place to run clearly organised threaded discussions. Proboards allows a fully fledged forum structure so that you can easily find the review thread or concert discussion you're looking for, and - like LJ - it's free both for you to join and for us to run.
You are very welcome to join us over there and contribute to the discussions, or just read the information if you so wish. The Society has rather suffered in the past from having discussion groups spread out over a number of sites and a rather unclear definition of membership, but the rule henceforth for anyone wishing to join is that they should join the new discussion group. They will then be automatically considered a member of the Society.
We look forward to meeting you over there. Remember, there's no charge for membership, and we don't envisage that having to change in the foreseeable future.
