Hear Charles on YouTube! YouTube poster braveone2u has kindly made us a special version of his video of Charles singing Purcell's The sparrow and the gentle dove.

More YouTube links: click here to hear Charles sing the aria Hateful man! from Handel's Alexander Balus. This may be one of the most difficult tenor arias Handel ever wrote, and Charles sings it with splendid gusto. Also, in this link Charles sings Purcell's Full of wrath, an account of the conversion of St Paul.

The Montreal Baroque Festival is an annual event in which Charles is usually involved. The 2010 Festival will include the Monteverdi Vespers.

The Stour Music Festival also takes place annually, usually at about the same time as the Montreal Baroque Festival... but Charles has been known to fly straight back from Canada to appear at Stour. We have advance notice that he will be appearing in the 2010 Festival, but no further details as yet.

Charles makes regular appearances and recordings with the Retrospect Ensemble (formerly known as the King's Consort).

He also does a great deal of concert and recording work with De Nederlandse Bachvereniging (The Netherlands Bach Society). Their website is mostly bilingual, though there are some sections in Dutch only.

In April 2009, Charles did a concert with Hendrik Bouman, the outstanding Dutch harpsichordist. They hope to do further concerts together in the future; please keep an eye on our concerts page for details!

Charles is a regular soloist with the Woodmansterne Collection. They have recently had a long break from concert performances due to the refurbishment of St Albans Cathedral, but they will be starting up again shortly, and Charles will appear with them in Bach's St Matthew Passion in March 2010.

Charles officially left the Orlando Consort several years ago, but he still works with them from time to time.
